_Position Description:_
The Service Training Instructor (STI) position reports to the Technical Support Operations Manager (TSOM) and has the primary responsibility to deliver, develop and support all areas of automotive technology training to dealership, fleet and other service technicians within and outside their assigned Market area. Primary responsibilities require that the instructor acquire or maintain minimum technical competency to deliver classroom courses. The STI will assist the TSOM with managing and maintaining the Training Center facility, vehicle fleet and physical inventory. The STI also provides support by assisting with identifying technician training needs, training schedule development and release. The STI secondarily supports other activities identified by their TSOM to improve dealer repair capability, these activities can include vehicle inspections at dealerships, in dealership studies and support of Company efforts to recruit and enroll technicians in career entry programs.
Requirement Note:
_Skills Required:_
Extensive knowledge and experience with diagnosis and repair of all vehicle systems. Automotive service department experience or equivalent is required.
_Skills Preferred:_
Training and skills in the use of Ford-specific diagnostic test equipment and tools is desired. Instructional experience would also be preferred.
_Experience Required:_
Instructional automotive experience is strongly recommended. Extensive knowledge and experience with diagnosis and repair of all vehicle systems.
_Experience Preferred:_
Ford or Lincoln dealership and/or vehicle repair experience. Use of Ford-specific diagnostic test equipment and tools is desired.
_Education Requirements:_
4-year college degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent is preferred, but not required. However, a degree would provide candidates more opportunities for a career path.
